Gorvachev and Vuitton

Such a renouned photograph as Leibowitz would not leave anything to coincidence. Good photographers know images are texts on wich all objects have meaning and become symbols. A denouncing russian newspaper poking out of Gorvachev Louis Vuitton's bag, is a commercial, political and fashion statement. It clearly shows the world in which we live now, the post cold war era where global companies, in this case a luxury brand, rule over ideologies and even over some governments. In any case, the spin on this photo might be the subtle way denouncing corruption on Livtinenko murder affair. And of course, the spin master, or spin doctor is Mr. Gorvachev himself.
